Students from Progress School went on an educational visit to Strasbourg, where they attended a special learning session at the Council of Europe!
During the session, the following topics were discussed:
- The role of the Council of Europe in protecting human rights and democracy.
- Mechanisms for strengthening democracy in the region.
- Georgia’s path to European integration and the supporting programs.
Progress students also had the opportunity to take observer seats at the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, where they witnessed firsthand how democratic debates unfold in the European arena.
A highlight of the visit was an unexpected but special encounter with the Prime Minister of Malta, Robert Abela, in the corridors of the Council of Europe.
This visit once again underscored Progress School’s mission — to connect Georgian students with Western values and provide them with an international education.
