Dr. Nina Chikvashvili is the renowned founder, dynamic CEO, and visionary brand creator of Progress American International Schools, a prestigious network of elite educational institutions in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. She established the first school in Kutaisi in 2002 with the ambitious goal of integrating cutting-edge, innovative, and technologically advanced approaches into the educational process.
Progress today unites three American schools in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi, where approximately 2,500 students receive a world-class education, supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team of over 500 esteemed educators and staff members.
Dr. Nina Chikvashvili holds a prestigious Ph.D. in Educational Administration and a Master’s degree in Global Business Management (MBA). The CEO of Progress is a US State Department Scholar (Montana State University), Co-Chair of the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE USA), a member of the Business Leaders Association "Women 4 Tomorrow", the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM Georgia), the Georgian Business Association and the Georgia-Israel Business Association. Her exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to education have earned her a place among Forbes Magazine’s list of the 45 most influential and successful women entrepreneurs worldwide. Nina Chikvashvili is also an authorized advisor and honorary delegate of New York University's International Education Program, an expert at the World Summit on Peace Education, and the founder of several internationally licensed educational centers in Georgia, including the TOEFL Center at American International Schools.
Progress has two more founders along with Nina Chikvashvili: "Progress Education Group" and "Anagi for Education."
In 2022, a partnership was launched between Progress and the construction company "Anagi" for the construction of an innovative and modern educational institution. In cooperation with "Anagi Education," a large-scale project of Progress, the opening of a new innovative campus in Batumi was implemented, the investment of which amounted to 7 million euros.
The new Batumi campus stands as a shining example of contemporary educational architecture, meticulously designed to accommodate 1,000 students while fostering a vibrant, stimulating, and intellectually enriching environment.
Batumi Campus Highlights:
- The campus includes classrooms, laboratories, a library, assembly and conference halls, a recreation area, a kitchen, and a gym for physical education, sports, and recreational activities.
- The school meets all the conditions and standards necessary for the comprehensive upbringing of the next generation. The campus is fully adapted with the required resources for students with special educational needs (elevators, ramps, toilets).
- Smart boards are installed in all classrooms for interactive learning, which makes the learning/teaching process diverse. Security is provided by security, perimeter, fire, internal and external video surveillance systems, and 24-hour security service.

Following the resounding success of the Batumi campus, Dr. Chikvashvili and her esteemed business partner, Anagi Education, are set to introduce a groundbreaking, state-of-the-art campus in Tbilisi by 2025-2026. This ambitious €10 million investment will mark a new era in education.
